Colour-vision deficiency (CVD) friendliness is key, as visualisation should be accessible to as many viewers as possible, and certainly not discriminating minorities amongst the viewers. There are three common forms of colour-vision deficiencies amongst humans, Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia.
Using CVD-friendly colour palettes widens the reach of the underlying scientific message, prevents confusion amongst some readers, and shows, if only a little bit, that one cherishes the beautifuldiversity of our kind.
All Scientific Colour Maps are CVD friendly.
